According to legend, fisherman John M. Bogović Tumburko, back in 1722. The catching fish around the Cape peninsula Gradina saw a strange light. When he approached the rock from which is reached, the light, he found a picture that shows Mary, which shows Mary visiting her cousin Elizabeth. The picture was took it home and put it in the chest, but she inexplicably returned to the same place. And so it is repeated three times. Soon the villagers together with the then priest, decided to build a chapel in that place, a ceremony in its present form was established in 1776th year.

The miraculous image was burned in the parish church, and second, that sixties stolen, was in Vienna 1888th year. Silver is a picture frame and, weigh 13 kg, by Split goldsmith Valle in the draft Ive Pavkovic, kalafata from Rogoznica.

The ceremony is held 2nd July, Petrovčič, when the painting of Our Lady transported by ship, accompanied by priests and young girls dressed in white robes, and Caparin waterfront, where he greeted the Bishop of Šibenik, accompanied by a dozen priests and thousands of believers, only to have everyone together in a procession along the waterfront Rogoznica Our Lady's image transferred to the parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Our Lady's image remains in the parish church until the first Sunday after Our Lady of Mount Caramel when the solemn procession by sea and land returned to its sanctuary at the tip of the peninsula of Gradina. Miraculous Rogoznicka patron, whose shrine is, at its sole discretion, placed on the door of the beautiful surrounding bays keeps his regiment and the harbor from all suffering for nearly three long centuries.
